I know, it’s been a while…
Betcha wonderin’ where I’ve been.
It has been a while. In fact, it’s been a lot longer than I originally anticipated. Truth is, I was facing severe burn out after almost 8 years of continuous strips. This last storyline was a struggle for me to get through. Plus, I’ve had several life distractions recently like becoming a grandfather and a new job… with all that, I needed to take a long sabbatical.
I do plan on coming back. At the moment, working out details on the next storyline and I can’t wait to share it with you all.
Until then… here’s this:
A few years ago, I did a little project where I constructed a 3-D model of what I thought the Flatt Bear Inn might look like. It turned out ok, but it was fairly stark looking, especially on the inside. Last year, I found that I had some time on my hands so I decided to revisit the project. I reworked the model, added some “set dressing” to make it space more livable and believable.
I won’t bore you with all the images here, but I’ll post some highlights. The rest I’ll eventually post up in the “Inn” section of this site.
This should tied you over until I get some actual bear stuff going again. Some exterior shots.
Welcome back! I hope you had a good, restful time away. Congratulations on your grandchild!! (And the new job.)
I loved your workup of the Inn! Can’t wait to see what you’ve done with it. So far, the only thing I see missing is me and a hot fudge sundae, but that’s okay. π
Thanks to all! The hot fudge sunday is in the fridge in the kitchen.
i remember the Inn. π
Glad you worked through the rough patch
Congrats on the grandbaby π π
Thanks!
