This project was an attempt to help me visualize the Flatt Bear Inn so I had a better idea as to the environment my characters were living in. I also felt it would help in allowing to draw more accurate backgrounds and settings. I modeled it after an old floor plan I found in a home builders catalog which was dated somewhere between the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Since the catalog included room dimensions, I was able to build this model to scale. I heavily modified the plans to suit the design needs of the inn adding diner, basement, and livable attic space. I built this model using 3D Studio max and I used Photoshop to create the textures (things like roof tiles, exterior paint, all the interior wall coverings). I wanted to actually furnish the inside, but found that would have taken more time and resources than I wanted. Maybe someday.

Take some time and stroll the ground then poke around inside.
