Well these look familiar.

Travis Blair doesn’t really consider himself a comic strip artist but he does love all things comic strippy.  So when I asked him to do a guest strip for me, he went a completely different route then all the rest.  He went though my archives, picked out a few strips, and then replaced the original dialog with his own.  Wow.  He said he did this because he’s really not an artist but more of a writer.  I’d say he nailed it.

As I mentioned before, Travis is more of a writer.  He runs a website called The Zarf.  It features interviews from cartoonists, reviews, Q&As, and something called Medley’s, which are a collection of collaborations between him and other artists.  Travis did an interview with me back in June for a feature called Under the Funnies, and I’m am currently working with Travis on a project to which I can not give details as of yet.

Well, that closes out our two week extravaganza and cavalcade of guest artists.  I would like to thank each and everyone of them for taking time out of their busy schedules to supply Flatt Bear with some great material.  Believe it or not, I still have two more artists, Bill Murphy and Kim Belding, who submitted stuff at the last minute that never made it in the guest strip rotation.  Fear not, you will get to see these strips posted later in the following weeks.  Can’t let these babies go to waste.

We’ll be back to our regular schedule on Monday and with it, we get to find out what that whole cliffhanger thing was all about.  Oh yeah.  ‘member that?

*Editor’s note:  About yesterday’s strip … Yep, I totally misspelled Rich’s last name on his guest strip. It’s Lauzon, not Laurzon. Damn the luck!
