There are actually several places that claim not to have any snakes.  Ireland was one of them, which we've already covered.  And yes, there are places where it is illegal to own or possess a snake.  Serious stuff.  

Big news!!!

Today's strip marks number 400 for Flatt Bear. Wow, go figure. When this first started, I thought I'd do this for a year and see where it went.  Apparently, it went far. That's a lot of drawings, lots of gags, and lots of bear jokes.  Would like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you all who tune in every week.  Please, stick around for the next 100.  Should be a hoot. Should be...   400

    Carl should come to visit Georgia. Believe it or not, it is illegal to harm or kill a snake in this state. Seriously. Needless to say the number of snakes per acre is huge.
