After I finalize the pencil layout, it's time to ink. Of course, everything I do now is digital so inking is of the digital nature. The program I use to draw and ink allows me to draw a vector line so I can easily change lines, move them around, and make them thicker or thinner. I'm also constantly editing and changing the dialog. Tweaking words or sometimes changing the whole punchline. You'll notice I changed North's dialog because I felt it fit better.
Friday, we color the strip.

I love the addition of the hearts to Duffy’s dialogue box. Also, North’s eyebrows in the last panel…but I think he’s wrong. Somewhere, in some city, there IS a Mother’s Day card for that.

There are greeting cards for all occasions. I suspect it does exist somewhere.

I like the mugging line.
Something like “mauling , mugging, making the Forrest great again… i’m nit sure there is a mother’s day card for that”
