Well... at least it's not spiders. BTW, you know what's harder than drawing a bat?  Drawing a whole fleet of bats.

      Ah, thanks. Is that what they’re called BTW? I wasn’t sure. I just called them a fleet.

    Walt Kelly (Pogo) drew a panel with, I think, 10,000 turtles. Later, one character says that they don’t have to worry about seeing them again because “Marse kelly ain’t going to draw 10,000 turtles again.” (or something like that)

      Thanks Court! I found in my research, there are sevearl different ways to “cartoon” a bat. All of them horrible specific.

      That’s Dave Kellett’s influence. He does this strip called Sheldon and he’s got some of the most creative lettering.
