Give ’em a Hand
He stuck his foot in his mouth.
BTW…
This week marks a major milestone in Flatt Bear history. It marks the 5 year anniversary. That adds up to 738 comics, if anyone is keeping score. That’s a lot of little drawings. I have to say, I’ve enjoyed every one of them. For real. Every once in a while, I’ll go through some of my archived strips. There’s not one that I look at and think how much I hate it or wish I hadn’t done it. That may sound arrogant, but I think it healthy to like what you do as an artist. Seriously. If you’re not liking what you’re doing, you’re in the wrong business.
Anyway, thanks for tuning in all these years. There are a few of you that have stuck around from day one and I appreciate that. I really do.
And a very Happy Anniversary to you, Duffy, Carl and all the folks at Flatt Bear. You have remarkable talent and we’re very proud of you. Go take the weekend off, but be sure to be back by Monday for sure….
Thanks. You’re not bias because you’re my dad, are you?
Happy Anniversary! I plan to and hope to be tuning in for many years to come.
Hey… me too.
Congrats on the 5 years. Wish I could say I liked all my past work, but I’ve just made way too many mistakes 😆 Here’s to another 5 wonderful years. 😉
Thanks!
Congrats on the milestone. 🙂 I know the feeling. Sometimes I go back and read storylines Sara and I wrote several years back and find myself laughing and thinking I don’t remember writing that.
Thanks. Yea, the only regret I have is that I wish I could go back and redraw all the hand drawn one in the current style digitally. I do look back at those and think… yikes. what a mess.
Maybe Carl could lend her a hand
Or two…
I once asked a singer at the PA Renn Faire “What’s your favorite song to perform”
He said “All of them! If we didn’t like them – we wouldn’t sing them!”
Not arrogant, just loving in what you are doing. And it’s fun to read every one of them!
We think of you every Monday – Wednesday & Friday! 😀 😀 😀
Yeah, I don’t understand those who don’t like their own material. Seems to me, they’re in the wrong business. Even the musical project I did, I like the material and will listen to it once in a while just for fun. Thanks for hanging in there.
Glad I stayed up for the release. Great job of grinding these out consistently
Thanks for giving me a reason to grind them out.
